Shivaratna Sports Academy President Dhairyashil Mohite Patil organized a 155 km Brave Cycle Rally which received an overwhelming response. In association with Royal Riders and Shivaratna Sports Academy at Akluj – Velapur – Salmukh – Piliv – Mhaswad – Dahivadi – Shikhar Shinganapur – Natepute – Malshiras – Akluj a 155 km long cycle rally was organized. The cycle rally started from Vijaysinha Mohite Patil Sports Complex at Akluj with 80 amateur cyclists at 8.30 pm.

The rally reached Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Chowk in Velapur at 9.30 pm via Vijayanagar with the message of environment, health, and corona awareness. Here amateur cyclists from Bondle, Velapur, Sripur area participated in the rally. The rally reached Salmukh Chowk at 10 pm via Maloli. Amateur cyclists from the Pandharpur area participated here. After a 20-minute break, the rally headed towards Piliv. After the rally reached Piliv at 10.30 pm, the villagers of Piliv area welcomed the Dhairyashil Mohite Patil along with the cyclists, Dr. Dilip Pawar, and his family with fireworks.

The distance from Piliv to Mhaswad is about 22 km and from Piliv to Ghat is about 5 km. Since there is no population in the 22 km area from Piliv to Mhaswad, there are many ways of robbing passengers during this journey. Cyclists travel at night. So the cyclist was walking with the right precautions. The cyclist reached Piliv Ghat at 11 pm, crossing a serpentine turn in the cool shade of the full moon. As the road work was going on here, the cyclists had to exercise on the wire while cycling. This ghat of about three kilometers is crossed by Lilia at 11 at night.

At 20 o’clock, the cyclists entered Satara district. The cyclists reached Mhaswad at 11.50 am after crossing the distance to Mhaswad in just half an hour as the road work in Satara district was almost completed. The next route from there to Gondwale is also quite good, so the cyclists reached Gondwale at half past midnight in the moonlight. From there he reached Dahivadi in just half an hour. Here, Pramod Khade and his family welcomed the cyclists and had tea. Half of the 78 km cycle rally from Akluj to Dahivadi was completed here.

After resting for about half an hour, all these cyclists headed towards Shikhar Shinganapur in the direction of Wawar Hiray Ghat. The distance from Dahivadi to Shikhar Shinganapur is about 22 km. On the same route, there is a rocky climb of about three kilometers. After covering the distance from Dahivadi to Wawar Hiray in just half an hour, the cyclists reached Wawar Hiray Ghat The cyclists, however, got tired while cycling in this rocky ghat. Although the speed of the cyclists slowed down, the enthusiasm of the cyclists did not diminish. He was cycling with renewed vigor. After about half an hour of untiring work, they crossed the ghat and reached Shikhar Shinganapur at 4 am on the other side of the hill.

Due to the weekend lockdown in the state including Satara district, these cyclists did not get water anywhere during the journey. The nearby water supply at Dahiwadi also ran out. There was no such facility on the way to fetch water. All the cyclists were anxious for water as Wawar Diamond Ghat was climbed. Cyclists quenched their thirst with water from a water supply scheme at Shikhar Shinganapur. After 40 minutes of rest, 4 in the morning. At 40 o’clock, the cyclist started walking towards Natepute. They came to the ghats by crossing the climbing road of Shikhar Shinganapur for about one kilometer. Since Shikhar Shinganapur to Natepute is a complete descent route, cyclists enjoy it.

At 5.30 am, all the cyclists reached the premises of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee at Natepute. He was welcomed by Rajendra Kakade, Secretary, Market Committee, Santosh Tate, President, Taluka Petrol Pump Association, Atul Shete, Leader, Lingayat Samaj. After breakfast, tea and rest, all the cyclists set off for Akluj at 6.30 am.

The cyclist reached Patilvasti at 8 in the morning. Sheetal Devi Mohite Patil, Zilla Parishad Member of Akluj and President of Shivaratna Foundation, and women members welcomed the cyclists and participated in the cycle rally with them. They reached Vijaysinha Mohite Patil Sports Complex of Akluj at 8.15 am.

These cyclists completed the journey of 155 km in exactly twelve hours with rest. About 80 amateur cyclists ranging from 18-year-olds to 58-year-old cyclists took part in the rally. The rally was successful except for minor complaints with bicycle punctures. The rally was attended by cyclists from Akluj, Shankarnagar, Sangramnagar, Sripur, Velapur, Pandharpur, Natepute, Malshiras, and Indapur areas.
